Peer Review Policy

All research articles, review articles, technical notes, short communications, and case studies submitted to IJDTDE undergo editorial screening and peer review before publication. The journal uses a double-anonymous peer-review model as the default process, in which reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors and author identities are concealed from reviewers where feasible.

Initial editorial screening

Each submission is first checked for scope, completeness, format, language clarity, ethical declarations, plagiarism or text overlap concerns, authorship information, and basic methodological adequacy. Manuscripts that are clearly outside the scope of the journal, incomplete, ethically problematic, insufficiently prepared, or below the minimum scholarly standard may be rejected without external review.

External peer review

Manuscripts that pass initial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, absence of conflicts of interest, availability, and ability to provide a fair and constructive assessment.

Editorial decisions

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, rejection with invitation to resubmit, or rejection. The final decision is made by the handling editor or Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer reports, the authors’ responses, the manuscript quality, and the journal’s editorial standards.

Revision and author response

When revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript and a detailed response to reviewers and editors. The response should explain how each point was addressed or provide a reasoned justification where changes were not made. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed editorially, depending on the nature of the revisions.

Conflicts of interest

Editors and reviewers must declare any conflict of interest that could affect, or be perceived to affect, impartial evaluation. Conflicted editors or reviewers must not participate in the assessment of the manuscript.

Previously disseminated conference papers

Submissions derived from conference presentations or proceedings papers may be considered only if they contain substantial extension, new analysis, additional validation, or significant methodological development. Authors must clearly disclose the earlier version during submission and cite it where appropriate.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are not influenced by the authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, seniority, gender, race, religion, political views, commercial interests, or ability to pay publication charges. Scientific quality, integrity, relevance, and compliance with journal policies are the basis for all editorial decisions.
