Complaints and Appeals Policy

IJDTDE provides a transparent procedure for complaints, appeals, and concerns related to editorial decisions, peer-review process, publication ethics, published content, or journal operations.

Complaints

Complaints should be submitted in writing to the journal contact email and should include the complainant’s name, contact details, manuscript or article title if applicable, DOI or submission ID if available, a clear description of the concern, and any supporting evidence.

Appeals against editorial decisions

Authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe that a significant error, misunderstanding, conflict of interest, or procedural problem affected the outcome. Appeals must provide a reasoned explanation and should not simply repeat the original submission arguments.

Assessment process

The Editor-in-Chief or an independent editor will review the complaint or appeal. Where appropriate, additional information may be requested from authors, reviewers, editors, or other relevant parties. If the complaint involves the Editor-in-Chief, it should be handled by another senior editor or publisher representative.

Possible outcomes

  • Confirmation of the original decision.
  • Additional peer review or editorial assessment.
  • Correction of a procedural error.
  • Publication of a correction, expression of concern, or retraction.
  • Other appropriate editorial or publisher action.

Submitting a complaint or appeal does not guarantee reversal of an editorial decision. The journal aims to handle complaints and appeals fairly, confidentially, and within a reasonable timeframe.
