About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The International Journal of Digital Technology Driven Engineering publishes peer-reviewed research at the interface of engineering science, computational modelling, optimization, data-driven methods, digital manufacturing, automation, artificial intelligence, simulation, sensing, and digitally enabled engineering design.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, methodological papers, benchmark studies, and carefully documented case studies in areas including, but not limited to: digital engineering and digital transformation in engineering practice; computational mechanics and simulation-driven engineering; additive manufacturing and process optimization; AI-assisted engineering design and decision-making; digital twins, smart systems, sensing and monitoring; engineering data analytics and uncertainty-aware modelling; hazard assessment, resilience, safety and risk-informed engineering; optimization, reliability and robust engineering design.

The journal prioritizes scientific rigor, reproducibility, methodological clarity, and engineering relevance.

Open Access Policy

The journal provides immediate open access to published content. Readers may access article metadata, abstracts, and full-text files without subscription or login. The preferred license is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), unless a different license is explicitly stated for a specific article.

Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Unless otherwise stated, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing sharing and adaptation with appropriate attribution.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The journal is committed to publication integrity, editorial independence, transparent peer review, and responsible scholarly communication. Authors must submit original work, properly cite relevant literature, disclose conflicts of interest, identify funding sources, and obtain all required permissions and ethical approvals. Editors must handle submissions fairly, maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and make decisions based on scholarly merit. Reviewers must provide objective assessments, maintain confidentiality, avoid unauthorized use of submitted material, and disclose conflicts of interest. Cases involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, authorship disputes, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other misconduct will be investigated and may lead to correction, retraction, rejection, notification of institutions, or other appropriate action.

Privacy Statement

Names, email addresses, affiliations, and other personal information entered in the journal platform will be used only for editorial, publishing, indexing, and communication purposes associated with the journal. The journal will not disclose personal information for unrelated purposes.

Publication Model

IJDTDE publishes one volume per calendar year. Each volume contains one open annual issue, and articles are published continuously into that issue after acceptance and production.

Peer Review Policy

The journal applies a structured peer-review process. Manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office for scope, formatting, ethical compliance, and basic scientific suitability. Suitable submissions are assigned to an editor and normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The final editorial decision is made by the handling editor or editor-in-chief based on reviewer reports, editorial assessment, methodological soundness, novelty, clarity, and relevance to the journal scope. The journal uses double-anonymous peer review. Editors and reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, evidence-based and confidential assessments.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose financial, personal, professional, institutional, or academic relationships that could reasonably influence their work or judgment. Editors must not handle manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest. Reviewers must decline invitations when impartial review is not possible.

IJDTDE is published by European Scientific Network Publishing in cooperation with the International Society for Digital Technology Driven Engineering (ISDTDE), a scientific society supporting conferences, publications, and community activities across digital, computational, and data-driven engineering.
